I thought that Psycho-therapy was for ill people and I felt embarrassed to be fixating my little problem on anyone. But guilt, regret and old hurts are like splinters, burned too deep to remove on your own. They keep on hurting you, and they change the way you behave so that you avoid anything that risks touching the hurt.
